Since 2010, musician Thomas Bartlett (Doveman) and I have collaborated on projects including short films and videos; gallery installation with live performance; and a concert evening with live projection. In addition to our ongoing collaboration, I frequently work with other recording artists on projects that combine music and moving image.
Thomas Bartlett is a pianist and producer known for his work with Antony and the Johnsons, The National, The Gloaming, Martha Wainwright, David Byrne and many others. He has produced records for Glen Hansard, Sam Amidon, Anna Calvi, Trixie Whitley, and Dawn Landes. As a curator and music director he produced "Blood and the Moon", a celebration of the 150th anniversary of Yeats' birth, at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and has a long running concert series, the Burgundy Stain Sessions. 2016 will see a new record of songs by Bartlett and Nico Muhly entitled "Peter Pears", a record by Martha Wainwright, and an ongoing collaboration with Philippe Parreno.
